PROPOSAL SYNOPSES
The Proposal Synopses folders contain synopses of proposals that have been
written in the field and are archived in the Proposals Group Central Library in
Cupertino.
The Proposal Synopses are the key link to leveraging proposal writing efforts.
Re-using information from the Proposals Group Central Library further
complements the Proposal Boilerplate available in the database -- it
facilitates development of specific solutions to customer requirements.
Each synopsis provides information regarding the customer, the proposed
hardware and software, the competition, HP contacts (Proposal/Program Managers,
Sales Rep/District Manager, Lead SE), and a table of contents extracted from
the actual proposal. In the interest of maintaining bid/proposal security,
actual text and graphics files from the proposal are not included in the
synopses folders.
The Proposal Synopses folders are organized by product or service, and within
product or service, where appropriate, by industry. The most recent synopsis
submitted to the Library is the top file. Browse through the folders and read
the on-screen synopses of proposals that may match your proposal. If you would
like to receive excerpts from any of the proposals in the Library, please
contact the Cupertino Proposals Group at TN or (408) 447-4518 or send an HPDesk
message to CUPERTINO PROPOSALS GROUP/HP6650/24 and provide the following:
-- DOC-ID number
-- Customer Name
-- Date of Proposal
-- Desired sections from the Table of Contents
(If entire proposal is desired, authorization from the originating
proposal manager and sales rep is required. The Cupertino Proposals
Group contact will handle the authorization process.)
-- Type of format of sections needed (ASCII text or PGS formatted)
Proposal excerpts can be requested in:
-- Disk copy (including text and figures) by mail, specify either
5 1/4" or 3 1/2")
-- Hard copy by mail or fax
-- PC files (including text and figures) sent over HPDesk
Applicability of faxing and mailing documents electronically is determined by
the size of the document.
